Sustainable Development Goals

The Sustainable Development Goals, also known as SDGs, are a set of 17 objectives signed in 2015 by 193 countries. Their purpose is to promote equality among people, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity. All of these goals are outlined in the 2030 Agenda, and the signatory countries committed to achieving them through a series of targets.

At Vectalia, we support this initiative and have committed to its development by focusing our efforts on two of the goals most related to our sector:

  • Sustainable Development Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities: This goal is based on making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. One of its main focuses is sustainable mobility, for which we believe it is essential to encourage the use of public transportation, prioritizing it over private vehicles.
  • Sustainable Development Goal 13 – Climate Action: This goal aims to introduce climate change as a key issue in the policies, strategies, and plans of countries, businesses, and civil society, improving their response to it.

Through our climate action plan, Vectalia seeks to work in alignment with this goal by setting various stages and phases to reduce our environmental impact:

  • Renewing 100% of the fleet with sustainable vehicles.
  • Ensuring that 100% of the energy at our headquarters is green.
  • Ensuring that 50% of the energy in our operations comes from a clean source.
  • Implementing training and awareness actions.
  • 2030 Goal: Reduce our Carbon Footprint by 30%, equivalent to 5,000 cars running for a full year.
